Last November as several friends were going through their own winter of the heart, I had just purchased Orange Vocoder on a Black Friday deal and wanted to experiment with it. I flipped on the microphone and began to sing through it, and inspired by what was coming out, this song pretty much wrote itself. Within 30 minutes, I had the first vocal track laid down after writing the simple, but inspired lyrics.

There is a bridge in this track that came to me unexpectedly. Though I initially hesitated, I decided that my creative spirit knew more than my human mind so I went with it. The results are a testimony that we all go through times in our life that are unkind, unexpected, and undesired. The best solution is to take the cold, bitterness of pain and turn it into warmth with an empathetic response to someone else who may be experiencing their own winter of the heart.
